As the son of two architects, Berkshire was exposed to beautiful homes and building sites an early age. Due to his innate interest in architecture and design, he chose to seek a degree in construction management. After graduating, Berkshire worked as a project manager for a commercial construction firm where he learned about building techniques, the benefits and drawbacks of different materials, and developed a basic understanding of how things are built.
It was at this point that Berkshire decided to start investing in real estate for himself. Over the next 5 years he bought and managed a variety of residential and business properties. He firmly believes that buying, holding, and renting out properties is the best method to develop long-term wealth.
Berkshire also opened a few businesses, some of which are still thriving today. Working with local customers and B2B helped him hone his negotiating and planning abilities, while developing a knack to work with different parties to accomplish a common goal.
